Leaf is an awesome dog. The litter leaf comes from is Jaegerhofs Sir Henry Higgins MH. who is the "2008's AKC's Hunt Test Sire of the year". This litter Leaf comes from is one of the best litters that have come from Jaegerhofs Sir Henry Higgins. Leaf's Dam Dakota Horizon Express has allot to do with this exceptional Breeding. Dave List "owner of Dakota and Horizon Kennels" looked at many top stud dogs across the United States and found the best match in Higgins. Dakota goes back to Hillhaven Kennels to Hillhaven's Handsome father of DC Hillhaven's Hustler.

Leaf's pedigree is heavily influenced by Hillhaven Kennels "DC Esser's Duke vd Wildburg, Hillhaven's Handsome, DC Hillhaven's Hustler, Wendy von Enzstrand, DC Stadivarius Baroque, and also a little Moesgaard in his blood.

What makes Leaf a Great Sire is he's passing on his all-around natural ability on Point, Honor, Retrieve, and Tracking. But what most impresses me most is this Gun Dogs brain and his upbeat desire to please under pressure.

Many of leaf's offspring are also house dogs. When they are not hunting they like to lay around and sleep, Leaf also likes to be a lap dog when I let him.
Leaf is going to be six years old this spring "2010". He has not been bred out side my kennels thus far. I am now going to turn him in to a "Stud Dog" for the German Shorthaired Pointer Breed to Prize winning tested female dogs.
